If you’re searching for the best IT school in Davao after Senior High School, you’re not alone.
Every year, thousands of SHS graduates in the Philippines face the same question: Should I enroll in a traditional four-year college degree, or is there a faster and more practical path into a real career?
The decision is bigger than just enrollment. It’s about employability, income potential, and long-term relevance in a digital economy that is evolving faster than most universities can update their curriculum.
This is where ITSTEP Academy Philippines stands out as a strategic alternative to traditional college education.
The Reality of College Graduates in the Philippines
According to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, youth unemployment in the country consistently remains significantly higher than the national average. In recent labor reports, youth unemployment has ranged around 10%–12%, nearly double the overall unem
Every year in the Philippines, Senior High School (SHS) graduates and their parents face the same important decision: what should come after graduation?
For decades, the automatic answer was college. A university degree was considered the safest route to a stable job, and families invested years and savings believing that completing a four-year course would secure employment and financial stability.
Today, however, many Filipino families are beginning to ask a different question.
Is college still the only path to a successful career?
Across the country, thousands of fresh graduates finish their degrees but still struggle to find work related to their course. Some remain unemployed for months. Others accept positions far outside their field of study. This is not because students lack effort. The real reason is that the job market has changed faster than the traditional education system.
We now live in a digital and skills-based economy.
A new year brings fresh goals, renewed motivation, and big hopes for the future—especially for parents. You may be thinking about how to help your child stay focused, build confidence, and develop skills that truly matter in today’s digital world. While setting goals is important, real growth only happens when those goals are supported by a clear, structured path.
At ITSTEP Academy, we help families turn New Year learning goals into real, measurable progress. Through hands-on tech education, guided learning paths, and consistent skill-building, students don’t just learn concepts—they build competencies that prepare them for the future of work, creativity, and innovation.
Turning New Year Goals into Practical Tech Skills
Many New Year resolutions fail because they stop at intention. Without daily action and structure, motivation fades quickly.
ITSTEP Academy bridges that gap by transforming learning goals into practical, hands-on experiences. Instead of passive
As parents, it’s normal to be protective of what our children see and experience online. Recently, conversations on social media have raised concerns about Roblox — and many moms and dads are now asking the same question: “Is Roblox still safe for my child?”
The truth is, when used freely at home without supervision, Roblox can expose children to risks. But under a guided, structured, and professionally supervised learning environment, Roblox becomes something entirely different: a powerful educational tool.
At ITSTEP Academy, Roblox is not treated as a game. It is transformed into a safe learning platform where children build, design, create, and program using Roblox Studio — a development tool that does not require interaction with strangers.
Inside ITSTEP, children do not join public servers. They do not chat with unknown players. They do not publish anything online.
All activities happen inside a controlled network, shared only with classmates and instru

The Philippines has once again proven its growing love for technology and innovation! According to the Digital 2026 Overview Report, the country ranked 6th globally among the world’s most active ChatGPT users. A stunning 42.4% of Filipino internet users have used ChatGPT in the past month — a figure well above the global average of 26.5%.
Leading countries such as Kenya, Brazil, Israel, Malaysia, and the UAE topped the list, but the Philippines proudly followed close behind — showing that Filipinos are quickly adapting to AI-powered tools, especially for writing, editing, and tutoring tasks.
A separate study by London-based firm GWI revealed that Filipinos use AI most often for writing and educational purposes — proof of how deeply AI is becoming part of daily productivity and learning. Interestingly, while usage is high, excitement about AI among Filipinos remains modest, with only 47.2% expressing enthusiasm compared to the global average of 48.7%.
